As I sat down to save this week ’s Sunday Farm update   – I happened to glance over at   the website counter and notice we had just reached our 4,999,990th Sir Frederick Handley Page view .

Our niggling farm

So – like any normal questioning mortal would do – I wait a few minute and clicked the refresh button – and there it was – the grand sum now stand at   5,000,001 .

Our little farm

After a few more moments of cogitate about what to drop a line for this week – my thinker drifted back to the 5 million full mark . And I   start to think … Why ?   Why would ten the great unwashed care what about what we do on a few acres in the midsection of Ohio   – let alone 5,000,000 from a grand total of 225 countries around the globe .

The answer is in reality quite simple – and has nothing to do with us – and everything to do with what we save about each week   – Living   A More Simple Life .

Each and every day , more and more people from every walk of life want to farm their first garden , carry on their own food , or kindle a few chickens for their own egg . In short – experience a more unsubdivided life .

There is something very special about establish things on your own –   and becoming creditworthy for the food on your table – and even more importantly – knowing where it came from .

So I spent a little time wait over all of our retiring weekly updates(see : Sunday Farm Updates ) – which for three years now have chronicle the hebdomadal story of building the farm and a more simple life for us .

Our slight farm will always be a body of work in progress .   Mainly because it ’s in that “ study ” that we witness all of the playfulness ! It ’s where all of our stories and experience descend from – whether it be shiner skip over out to frighten off Mary , or bats fly from an old barn to terrify me – the fun and memories come from the process – not the finish result .

You see , at the end of the day – it should be about having sport and about keeping it dewy-eyed – or why do it at all ?

Thank You to everyone who has followed along on our journey – we really savour sharing the entire OWG Farm experience – and hope we have many articles and projects to apportion in the total age !
