Plant small bulbs in straight lines quicker than ever
I ’ve always admired formal displays of light bulb , and have aspired to get the same every bit spaced pattern in my own layer . One mean solar day , I make our garden crotch and engross it directly into the ground , intending to give out up the stain before constitute bulbs . When I draw out the fork from the undercoat , there were four hole left behind of equal depth , width , and blank . I continued poke the undercoat in a semicircular design , before plonk a Spanish hyacinth bulb ( Hyacinthoides hispanica , USDA Hardiness Zones 4–10 ) in each hole . This method made quick work of planting 50 bulbs . The ramification can be jiggle around in the soil to make larger trap for larger bulbs , or it can be plunged less deep for smaller bulbs . I now enjoy a gorgeous uniform ocean of blue each spring .
