Belief in the underground
Flip the Linda coin . On one side , I ’m a hardheaded , show - me type . Turn it over and there ’s equally strong faith . In my garden , the coin ’s complete , especially when the invisibles devolve after hiding out underground for months . After last week ’s revitalizing rainfall , sweet Narcissus ‘ Abba ’ could n’t wait to regenerate my combine that she ’d repay .
Narcissus ‘ Falconet ’ was n’t about to be left out .
ThisGladiolus tristisis a newbie , so the trustfulness factor has another year or two to go .

My day lily are actually evergreen , but this other bird was a surprisal !
Freesia laxamakes a springtime chorus line against argent anchor ‘ Powis Castle ’ Artemisia .
Native dayflower are a short slow on the punch this yr . curiously enough , this first twelvemonth ego - seeded one bloomed first , perhaps to countenance me know that it trusts me not to move it ! Okay , got it .

In the cat cove , I always forget about these miniature grape hyacinths that exploit so nicely between flagstones .
On the border , Spring starflowers ( Ipheion uniflorum ) keep on pumping .
Under the mountain laurel in the island bed , I do n’t know where I pose widow ’s tears ( Commelina erecta ) . They point up last year . I left it to trust that they ’d hail back . And they did .

Purple oxalis can be finicky for me , but I infer I finally find the correct spot for it to return . See , that ’s where practicality meets trust !
Nearby , African hosta ( Drimiopsis maculata)is descend up with its completing royal speckles .
Yellow is such a squad with purple . Scotty ’s Surprise oxalis , a Scott Ogden foundling , knows it well !

Until next calendar week , hope you have fun with your surprises ! Linda
