The Growers Exchange has been providing top-quality herb plants and garden-related products since 1985.
While my passion for horticulture primarily exists in growing vegetables , I ’ve become quite fond of herbs in the last 2 - 3 year . From last year ’s sweet basil that give us fresh pesto , to the ‘ cocoa ’ mint that single - handedly took over one of my 5’x5′ raised beds , herbs are now a pillar in my Victory Garden . Which is why I was so charmed to arrive across The Growers Exchange .
The companionship started in 1985 in Richmond , Virginia , and after being a brick - and - trench mortar garden shop for many of those years , they moved to their lasting virtual depot on the Web in 2005 . “ We ’ve always grown our plant by bridge player on our family farm in Charles City , Virginia , which is along the historical James River , ” Caroline Upshawof The Growers Exchange say . “ We endeavour to put up harder to find culinary , redolent and medicinal herbs , and retrieve that as a WWW store now , we enjoy exchanging with a much larger community of interests . ”
The Growers Exchange catalogue is another example of a well - design and organized resourcefulness . Though the catalog is only a half - letter - size of it ( 5.5″ x 8.5″ ) , its 48 pages are occupy with beautiful picture taking , colorful graphics and well-heeled - to - scan character ( I especially appreciate the ‘ handwritten ’ font used throughout ) .
