Prepare the Drum
Use scissors hold to cut designs from framework , and lie them out on the metal drum to determine position . It ’s best to find fabric with a background the same colouring as your spook so water colour designs like this blend in nicely .
Note : We used Fall Flower Watercolor Bouquet by craftberrybush and Portadown Watercolor Floral by angiemakes , both print by Spoonflower .
Adhere Fabric
Once you have your position readiness , drop froth brush into bowl with decoupage medium and utilise to back of fabric . Flip fabric on thedrum shade , and then lightly cake with another layer of decoupage spiritualist . apply a flat decoupage spiritualist ( avert one with a sheen ) . recur until membranophone spook is covered with desired amount of fabric . Let ironic .
Add Bias Tape
Use fabric glue to adhere bias magnetic tape to top and bottom of barrel shade . First dab glue onto tape , then use your finger to spread out glue across fabric . beseech and hold firmly on drum shade , folding over the edge . Move slowly as you work around the drum , taking clip to urge the bias tape to the boundary .
Hang Shade
Once the glue has dry out , you ’re ready to hang up the tympan shadiness . Thread the pendant light kit through the centre of the shade , according to package instructions . Screw in a lightbulb , and look up to your laborious work !
