The Ammerlaan Sosef baby’s room in the Netherlands has expound by roughly a hectare , do the annual production to grow by some 20 % . After completing his economics study in 1999 , Gertjan Sosef decide he wanted to farm , so he , Ard Ammerlaan , and Ard ’s son Jeffrey started a company . They also opened a second 6,000m2 location on the current site . The ship’s company grew over the years , partly by purchasing several surrounding nursery . At one point , the two younger men took over the nursery and expanded the business independently .
The greenhouse has been in usance since January . Its silky staff and cliententrance was completed two weeks ago .
A impudent choiceThis latest expansion pass during a turbulent sentence which begin last spring when COVID-19 hit the Netherlands . The Isle of Man were hesitant at first but decide to go forrader . From planting automaton to packing lines , everything has been scaled up . Both glasshouse have WPS atmospherics conveyer belt , and the same company supplied a buffer system too . The newfangled greenhouse is an addition to the glass greenhouse . It , too , was built in several phases , which made the expansion challenging construction - saucy .
All the logistics pass along the greenhouse wall . It is mostly only staff that uses this path .
The caller employs 17 masses ( some part - sentence ) . Together , they grapple production at the 3.8 - hectare and 1.6 - hectare glasshouse . Although the two site are not physically unite , the connexion to the local geothermic heat mesh could be extended before long .
The company pass around all its Celosia from cuttings , which Royal van Zanten grows in Uganda . The primula are grown from seed coming from local supplier . The plants are traded under the Decorum name . Most find their direction to British retailers .
