In an Egg on Easter Monday.

Of course we have to have blossom in the sign for Easter .   I am joining in withCathy’smeme ; ‘ In a Vase on Monday ’ but as it ’s Easter I have used an egg . I have filled my lilliputian Limoges porcelain cracked egg with some fiddling   jewel - like   treasures from the garden .

Guess what that decent fat bud   in the essence is ? Yes , it ’s a bud of one of my tree paeony . I unintentionally cut it off when I was pruning off dead Natalie Wood .   I shocked myself with my oral communication , I hope no one was listening . I do n’t know whether it will come out in water supply or whether it will just model there reproaching me .

The twiggy things are Flowering Currant;Ribes sanguineum , andSpirea japonica‘Goldflame ’ .    As you may see the spirea has adorable orange leaf in spring . It has frightful pink bloom in summertime which clash , so I thin them off . you could see the pink anthesis currant on the right . I bed some the great unwashed ca n’t fetch it into the theater because of the potent tone .   I quite like it ; it acts like Proust ’s madelaine for me and take me flat back to the springs of my childhood .

I used a sprig of rosemary as you’re able to see on the right of the above flick . I   have also picked   a few sprig of   Salix purpurea‘Nancy Saunders . ’ For those of you who do n’t know this genus Salix , it is very graceful with shiny , maroon- red-faced stems and slim blue - grey leaves . you could cut it back each spring to keep it heavyset . The   catkin are miniature and very dainty .

As it ’s Easter we have to have some Narcissus . I used N. ‘ Tête - a Tête ’ , N. ‘ W.P. Milner ’ and a bloodless N. ‘ Thalia ’ .

TheGalanthus plicatusis the last snowdrop to bloom in my garden and this one in the next ikon   has very declamatory flowers . The other white flower areAnemone blanda‘White Splendour ’ which has large blossom and seeds around into nice   clumps .

There is also a whiteIpheion uniflorum‘Alberto Castillo ’ . I love the way it bet as if it had marks made in pencil down the centre of the flower petal .

For fragrance I used a hyacinth and a sprig of my preciousYpsilandrathibeticawhich has fragrant bloom of youth like petty bottle brushes .

Another Easter flower for me is the gorgeous Snake ’s Head Fritillary;Fritillaria meleagris . So I had to include one in my Easater organization . The little mintage tulip bud on the left field of the above picture have open up in the heat of the planetary house . I do n’t hump which   one   it is , but it has spread all around my weeping pear tree . As it is Easter I pluck a magnanimous bunch of the Narcissus pseudonarcissus from the orchard and put them in my blue Corsican vase . I am in the process of digging these up to make room for a newfangled project . Daffodils growing in weed bet lovely whilst they are in bloom but awesome afterwards . And in the end some Easter egg . I hope you   are enjoying a adorable Easter despite storm Katie having a tantrum and keeping us all indoors . Do go over toRamblinginthegardento see what Cathy and other people have put into their Easter vas .

I love your fancy testicle vase and its multitude of precious stone - like spring blooms ! I ’d be beside myself too if I accidentally cut a peony bloom but then my garden has take care precious few of those . I checked my Itoh peony yesterday and , while it still has healthy foliage , there is n’t a bud in sight but Bob Hope will stay until the rut carry down in earnest and shrink the leaf ( as is the design ) .

I hope your tempest authorise before long and the conditions allows you back into the garden .

Fabulous vases….my daffs are just opening so I desire to pick some soon….and oh my that ball vase is sensational with so much of your garden represent in it !

Oh how good it is to see your convenient porcelain egg again Chloris albeit a shock how quickly fourth dimension passes . We ’ve share the same Narcissus pseudonarcissus in our respective vase this hebdomad . Hopefully I will be capable to add sprigs of salix ‘ Nancy Saunders ’ and a sure galanthus to future spring vases give time 🙂 Fingers crossed for the decapitate peony flower .

Very festive ! Your nut - shaped vase is unadulterated for the season and you ’ve outdone yourself with the miscellanea of contents . We get happy daffodils and egg as well . Thank you and I hope you have a wonderful Eastertide . Perhaps your tree diagram peony will forgive you someday .

It looks like a miniature version of these flower arrangements so popular with the Dutch painter of the seventeenth and 18th centuries !

Ah yes – I agree with Alain ! I love the pictorial , bright , yet gentle flowered colors of this fourth dimension of class . Nicely done with the vase ! Re : the Easter eggs – such interesting vividness . How did you achieve the brown unity ?
