Hot, humid, and looking great

We ’re visiting Kristen Rembold ’s beautiful garden today .

Hello ! It ’s 90 ° F here in Virginia , and the garden are lush and bright . Three of my grandchildren are spendingJulywith us , and they enjoy in expect for insects , harvesting vegetables , andcutting flowersfor table centerpieces . later on , we cool down in the kitty .

I garden on an urban / suburban acre . I am the nurseryman , but my husband , Chris , designs and builds stonepathsand garden structures , cheerfully spreads mulch , and creates theleaf moldwe use in veggie beds . This garden was featured on GPOD in the spring time of year about a decade ago(Spring in Kristen ’s Garden in Virginia).Since then , we ’ve added a screened porch and porch garden , where we care to hang out three seasons of the year .

give the season and the claver grandchild , there are a few raggedy places ( genus Funka leave , source head ) that may need to be cropped away ( and trimmed by me eventually ! ) , but I included additional exposure to give a good horse sense of the garden .

Lots of shrubs mixed with the perennials mean reduced criminal maintenance and a garden that attend unspoiled all yr .

Gorgeoushostas(Hostahybrids , Zones 4–9 ) lie under aJapanese maple(Acerpalmatum , Zones 5–9 ) .

Lots of summer blooms , include lavenders ( Lavandula , Zones 5–8 ) on the left that smell so refreshing on a red-hot summer solar day .

Coneflowers(Echinaceapurpurea , Zones 4–9 ) blooming around the shrubs here .
