Creating holiday decor from the garden

She combines canonic wreaths with materials gathered from her garden and purchased to make these marvelous custom instauration . A magnolia(Magnoliagrandiflora , Zones 7–10 ) and snowberry(Symphoricarposalbus , zona 3–7 ) coronal . Amazingly the snowberry lasted through and beyond the season .
Ingredients : Fraser fir chaplet , magnolia leaves , snowberry clusters , seeded eucalyptus tree , pine branches , white branches , and an Malus pumila - greenish velvet palm

A wreath with lovesome tone . Magnolia leaves conduct the people of color option for this chaplet . I made the dry orangish piece by broil them for 8 to 10 hours in a 200 ° F oven .

This year ’s front - door chaplet screams of warm colors with foragedPyracanthaberries andThuja‘Forever Goldie ’ from the garden , seeded eucalyptus , eucalyptus tree , grevillea , rise hips , andCornus‘Arctic Fire ’ branches on a Fraser fir tree wreath base .
Another red-faced coronal , this time featuringHypericumberries . This is one of the larger wreaths , and the base is made from discarded Christmas tree arm . I gave this to my godmother and her kinfolk .

Awoodland - inspired wreath with foraged conk mushrooms , variegatedSkimmia japonica‘Magic Marlot ’ from the garden , save lichen and moss branches , and entrepot - buy preserved mushrooms ( they were sold as vase makeweight ) . I thought sumac flowers would ’ve made a perfect luxe addition to this wreath , but I did n’t find any . Maybe next time ?
I want to create a natural wreath that did n’t shed or deteriorate indoors . I foraged pinecone over the year ; some were bleached and some natural colored person . I covered a cardboard lei form with rude - colored reindeer moss before attaching different - size pinecones and added a satin decoration .

Finally , here are some simple creations made from leftovers and tardy additions .
